POSITION SCOPE:
The Electrical Engineer will complete tasks as needed and assigned throughout the facility. The candidate will provide technical expertise for installed and future electrical and control equipment.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The candidate will need to be proficient with MS Office and AutoCad
- The candidate will need excellent knowledge of AC & DC drives and drive systems
- Solid background in PLC’s integrated DCS systems and networking
- Solid background in switchgear, motor controls, power systems protective relaying and various software systems.
- The candidate will need to have experience with Allen Bradley, Reliance, Foxboro Honeywell equipment
- Ability to multi-task efficiently under demanding circumstances
- Ability to work well with others as well as individually
- Ability to maintain electrical data, documentation and drawings
- Ability to take the lead in the diagnosis and trouble shooting of electrical system issues and define potential new technology
QUALIFICATIONS AND PRE-REQUISITES:
This position will require a B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology with 3 – 5 years of work experience. Solid working knowledge in Microsoft applications and Honeywell TDC3000 is preferred.
Candidate needs to be motivated and self directed. Selected applicant will be responsible for installation, design, project management, system modifications, troubleshooting and failure analyses of electrical and control equipment, including a 50 MW power distribution system, 2 steam turbine generators and 10 hydro generators. This job typically requires light travel. The work environment involves following detailed mill safety procedures and appropriate precautions.
