Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Current CPR and First Aid Certificate
- Exempleary interpersonal, communication, technology, organizational, clerical skills.
- Helps maintain the health office under the direction of the nurse
- Assists with collection and maintenance of health records and data.
- Perform clerical duties such as: data entry, duplicating, filing, and preparing files, folders, rosters, emergency cards, health protocols, etc. utilizing appropriate technology.
- Assists with weekly, monthly, and annual reports.
- Performs delegated tasks related to medications under supervision of school nurse
- Assists in vision and hearing screenings, if properly certified
- Provides minor first aid within his/her training in first aid
- Maintains open communication with the Registered Nurse and Certified School Nurse, relaying messages as directed to teachers, other school personnel, and parents/guardians in order that a cooperative action will meet the health needs of pupils
- Contacts parents/guardians or those responsible for children in case of serious injury, illness,
- Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as assigned by the Associate Superintendent of Education, School Nurse or School Principal
