Woodlands Senior Care Centers is seeking a Wound Nurse/Staff Development Coordinator LPN/RN for our AustinWoods Campus located in Austintown, Ohio.
Applicants must be an LPN or RN and licensed in Ohio.
Those with Wound Care experience are preferred.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- scheduling and coordinating in-services with outside agencies
- providing various education and in-services within the facilities for staff in all departments
- being familiar with rules and regulations of the nursing home
- attending quality assurance meetings
- identifying areas of improvement and assisting staff in achieving their highest potential
- leading facility staff in various procedures including infection control
- orientation of new employees
- maintaining employee files and keeping update on required education pieces
- assessing and documenting the condition of patients' wounds, including dimensions, characteristics, and staging
- implementing evidence-based wound care protocols and treatment plans
- administering appropriate wound treatments and therapies
- monitoring wound healing progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary
- collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
- developing and implementing infection prevention strategies and protocols
- conducting regular infection control audits and surveillance to identify potential risks or outbreaks
- educating staff members on wound care infection, prevention measures, including hand hygiene, proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and isolation protocols
- investigating healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- monitoring and reporting infection-related data to regulatory agencies and management
