As a Bread Baker at Woodlands Market, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, and cakes. Your duties will include:
- Preparing bakery products according to our quality assurance standards.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment, including shelves, machinery, and glass areas.
- Baking a variety of products, including quick breads, rolls, cookies, muffins, croissants, pies, cakes, biscuits, and other items according to schedule.
- Properly building cakes, including filling, icing, decorating, making ganache, mousse, and buttercream.
- Observing standard codes of protocol, including wearing gloves at all times when handling product and washing hands after sneezing.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful as a Bread Baker, you will need:
- A basic understanding of bakery workflow.
- The ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic calculations.
- Good prioritization skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Freedom to access all areas of the store, including the selling floor, stock area, and register area.
- The ability to work varied hours and days as business dictates.
- The ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
