Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Exercise Physiologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be involved with patient care by implementing and educating patients with plans tailored to patients' needs from a family medicine and physical medicine standpoint. This role requires a strong ability to monitor and evaluate patient progress throughout their health journey.
Duties
- Room patients, obtain vitals, and Conduct comprehensive patient assessments
- Develop personalized exercise plans that align with patients' medical histories and health goals.
- Monitor vital signs and overall patient health during exercise sessions to ensure safety and effectiveness.
- Educate patients on with a holistic approach on healthcare.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to create integrated care plans for patients.
- Maintain accurate records of patient progress, including assessments, care plans, and any changes in condition.
- Provide ongoing support and motivation to patients throughout their health plan.
- Stay updated on advancements in family medicine, physical medicine, cardiology, and exercise physiology to enhance patient care.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology or a related field preferred
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to patient care.
- Experience in outpatient settings is desirable.
- Proficiency in patient monitoring techniques and vital sign assessment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively.
- Ability to develop care plans based on individual patient assessments.
- Familiarity with body mechanics principles and safe exercise practices.
- Certification from a recognized professional organization (e.g., ACSM, NSCA) is a plus.
