SUMMARY: The Spa Supervisor is responsible for providing direction and leadership to Spa Staff. They are responsible for monitoring spa facilities ensuring positive and friendly guest relations. The Spa Supervisor observes all activity within assigned areas offering assistance and instruction to guests/visitors. The Spa Supervisor will maintain the AAA Four Diamond standards and will always conduct their self in manner which supports the guiding principles of Woodmark Hotel:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Exemplifies the Woodmark Standards of Excellence
- Conducts or assists the Director of Spa with the training and development of the Still Spa staff; creates schedules to be approved by Director of Spa
- Conducts or assists the Director of Spa with the onboarding of new Spa associates
- Accepts payment from guests, offers to rebook next treatment, and answers questions on spa retail products; uses POS system to ring up retail merchandise
- Act as a role model and sets a positive example for all Still Spa associates; empower and mentor team members to contribute to a positive work environment and deliver on exceptional guest service
- Thorough comprehension of Still Spa treatment menu and knowledge of new or existing spa services
- Maintain storage areas and keeps account of office supplies
- Maintains effective communication between hotel front desk and Spa front desk
- Responds to guest issues/concerns when necessary; communicates issues/concerns to the Director of Spa
- Answers incoming guests calls and transfers appropriately
- Provides general hotel information for guests
- Maintains an up-to-date working knowledge of all hotel amenities as well as any special events
- Interacts with hotel staff in a professional manner; assists other departments when necessary
- Upsells spa services and amenities to guests; attempts to rebook or offer alternative treatments to guests whenever possible; upsells other hotel services to guests
- Always maintains a professional demeanor and attitude
- Communicates all pertinent information to the Spa team
- Maintains constant awareness of safety issues; reports all safety incidents to on-duty supervisor
- Acts with responsibility towards all company property, supplies and equipment
- Follows all Woodmark Hotel Policies and Procedures
- Remains alert, courteous and helpful to the guests and colleagues at all times
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Work directly with other departments of the hotel to collaborate on events and promotions to brand the Woodmark Hotel & Spa
- Assists manager in ordering retail and professional product; assists with monthly, annual and spot check inventories
- Acts as group booking coordinator for groups including scheduling spa treatments and communication with guests during booking process
- Oversees Still Spa operations in the absence of the Director of Spa
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior spa reservations experience preferred
- Prior hospitality experience preferred
- At least two year customer service experience required
JOB REQUIRMENTS:
- Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit
- Must have excellent phone etiquette
- Must have professional appearance and demeanor
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
- Must have strong computer skills
- Must maintain strong email communication regarding shift changing and client requests updating internal notes to keep other spa desk member informed
- Must have basic math skills
- Must be detail-oriented and able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to accurately follow verbal and written instructions
- Must possesses excellent listening and communication skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays
- Ability to book and organize events related to the spa
- Must have the ability to effectively interact with guests and associates; resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner
- Must have a passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Can sit or stand as needed with intermittent periods of walking, occasionally needing to stand for periods of up to an hour.
- Must be able to lift, carry push & pull up to 25 lbs occasionally
- Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently
