The Investment Analyst supports and initiates effective selection of publicly-traded and privately-held investments. They provide key data and reports for accurate financial statement reporting; ensures accurate compliance reporting and analysis; aids in completing audit requests and A.M. Apply today to learn more!  We are looking for someone to:     Analyzes capital markets and assesses risk and reward, on a daily basis, to help identify appropriate security purchases or sales for the internally managed investment portfolio.  Supports the investment acquisition process through brokers and electronic platforms.    Evaluates portfolio holdings for regulatory and statutory compliance.  Prepares data for internal and external customers, through the use of a variety of software packages, including State Street Global Exchange’s Investment Accounting systems (PFI), BondEdge, and Bloomberg. Helps prepare and reconcile internal and external financial records; investigates discrepancies with the financial statement reports Collects and prepares data to assist in the audit process of the investment portfolio. Accepts change and adapts to it, understands that change is beneficial Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment Displays professionalism and diplomacy in all contacts and is committed to the highest ethical standards Meets expectations for attendance and punctuality in accordance with the expectations established by your supervisor and WoodmenLife policy.   Minimum Technical Qualifications   BA/BS degree in business or finance and 1 years’ experience in fixed income and/or statutory financial statements Understanding of Asset-Liability Management CFA charter designation, or progress towards that designation. Proficient use of MS Office (Excel, Word, Access) Knowledgeable about software systems such as PAM for Investments, BondEdge, Bloomberg and various online VPNs Ability to work hours needed to achieve business results.  This includes but is not limited to working early mornings to ensure trades are completed timely, being available to perform business resumption tests and working days in which the market is open and WoodmenLife is closed.   WoodmenLife offers a competitive compensation package and a comprehensive benefits package.
