Job Title: Lifeguard/Swim Instructor/Pool Operator

Reports To: Director of Aquatics

Position Description: Responsible for implementing all water safety policies and procedures. Supervises members and guests in and around the swimming pool. The position is seasonal, with an hourly rate beginning at $28.00 depending on experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Vacuums pool bottom, empties skimmers, skims bugs and other debris from surface to prepare pool in the morning.
• Washes down deck and all deck furniture to prepare for daily use.
• Always maintains supervision in Swimming Pool, Kiddie Pool, and Youth Room.
• May assist in coaching of the Woodmont Swim Team or Camp when appropriate.
• Administers First Aid/CPR/AED to members and guests.
• Assists in organizing and/or teaching of swimming clinics and private and group swimming lessons for members as directed by the Director of Aquatics.
• Assist or perform and maintain daily sanitation requirements of chlorine, pH, calcium hardness, alkalinity, and cyanuric acid.
• Enforces rules of conduct.
• Checks first aid supplies and reports needed items.
• Organizes and monitors pool games.
• Maintains Lifeguard stations.
• Straightens the pool area at the end of the day.
• Maintains all necessary records determined by the Director of Aquatics.
• Attends all meetings as directed by the Director of Aquatics.
• Performs all tasks assigned by the Director of Aquatics, Assistant Swim Professional or Pool Operators.
