Your Role
As a Medication Aide, your primary responsibilities will include preparing, administering, and documenting medications used across our health campus. You will also maintain resident records regarding medication distribution, leisure activities, incidents, and observations. Additionally, you will help create a caring and compassionate environment where residents feel valued and safe. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will ensure that all medications brought into the health campus by new residents are examined and identified by the attending physician, the facility pharmacy, or pharmacist.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need a Certified License for QMA (Qualified Medication Aide) or CMA (Certified Medication Aide). Experience as a QMA or CMA in a long-term care or home care setting is preferred but not required. You must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
