Position Overview:
The Director of Nursing at Woodmont Treatment Center plays a critical role within the medical department and the Emergency Care segment of our System of Care. Reporting to the Medical Director, this position ensures the safety, health, and well-being of our patients throughout their treatment journey. The Director of Nursing oversees all nursing services and is responsible for the continuous monitoring and evaluation of patient care. This includes assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the quality and effectiveness of the care provided. The Director of Nursing is also key in improving the quality and efficiency of patient assessments and treatment processes, ensuring compliance with Medicare standards.

Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing; a Master’s degree in Nursing is preferred
- At least two years of experience as a Nursing Supervisor, particularly with Substance Abuse and Dual Diagnosis patients
- Active nursing license in the respective state
- Strong knowledge of addiction, mental health complications, and community health resources
- In-depth understanding of alcohol and drug use disorders and related emergency protocols
- Knowledge of withdrawal stages for alcohol and other drugs and appropriate management for each phase
- Familiarity with relevant Federal, State, and Municipal regulations regarding the treatment of substance use disorders
- Adaptability to schedule changes and willingness to take on tasks related to the broader addiction treatment team
Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in interdisciplinary treatment plan meetings
- Stabilize patients following unit protocols
- Conduct nursing assessments, evaluations, and consents based on individual care needs and levels
- Ensure all daily documentation and updates are completed by the end of each shift
- Manage and oversee the medical department in collaboration with the Medical Director and Executive Director
- Supervise medical providers and nursing staff to meet regulatory standards and ensure compliance with medical documentation requirements
- Perform regular audits of medical charts (both open and closed) to ensure adherence to quality control standards and all relevant regulations
- Supervise and document the delivery of medical services by staff
- Ensure detox services and protocols are followed according to regulatory standards
- Manage medical services and vendor contracts
- Attend daily meetings with multidisciplinary leaders to address any facility, staff, or patient concerns
- Maintain licensure and credentialing policies related to medical treatment and care
- Collaborate with onsite or contract pharmacists regarding medication oversight and destruction
- Recommend and ensure appropriate staffing patterns while managing the annual budget
- Ensure shifts are properly staffed and that medical staff are actively involved in the treatment and admission processes
- Coordinate and manage all client medical appointments and needs
- Monitor the medical Utilization Review process to comply with company policies
- Present relevant client cases at Multi-Disciplinary Team meetings with up-to-date medical information and developments
- Develop and implement departmental policies to address staff and client needs
- Ensure compliance with HR policies for medical staff and contractors
- Mentor supervisory staff to improve managerial performance
- Oversee and manage direct reports, including preparation of performance evaluations
- Provide feedback to employees and make appropriate compensation recommendations
- Organize necessary training for the department and ensure staff attendance
- Conduct interviews and select candidates for open positions
- Recommend staffing patterns in line with regulatory requirements and manage the department's annual budget
- Monitor adherence to company policies, procedures, and standards across the department
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $115,230.00 - $121,108.00 per year
