Powersports Service Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Powersports Service Technician to join our team at Woods and Water Powersports. The ideal candidate will diagnose, repair, and service a variety of powersports vehicles, including motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, and watercraft. Responsibilities:

Service Technician Job Responsibilities:

 Follow all dealership policies and procedures.

 Adhere to scheduled work hours and company dress code.

 Maintain a positive working relationship with all employees and customers.

Job Duties:

 Perform routine vehicle maintenance (oil/filter changes, tire mounting and balancing, chain/sprocket replacement).

 Diagnose and repair systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical components, suspensions, and brakes to factory specifications.

 Prepare new vehicles for delivery and conduct used vehicle evaluations.

 Install accessories and custom modifications.

 Stay current on new technical information and techniques through manufacturer training (online and in-person).

 Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs to service advisors and customers in non-technical terms.

Qualifications:

 Previous experience in motorcycle, small engine, or automotive service is preferred.

 High school diploma or equivalent required.

 Technical and mechanical aptitude with diagnostic tools and equipment.

 Forklift operator’s certification preferred.

 Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics.

 Basic customer service and computer skills.

 Must have a clean driving record and valid driver’s license.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

 Exposure to high noise levels.

 Ability to balance and push up to 800 lb. motorcycles.

 Ability to operate powersports vehicles and lawn/garden equipment.

 Prolonged periods of standing, stooping, and bending.

 Exposure to battery acid, gasoline, cleaning chemicals, exhaust fumes, and airborne particles.

Requirements:

 Pass a background check and drug screening.

 Provide basic tools.

 No felony convictions.
