Position Description:
The Student Ministry Coordinator is responsible for building relationships on and off-site alongside the Woods Chapel Student Ministry Team. This position focuses on relational ministry with students through programs, events, retreats, trips, and new connection points. As a member of the Student Ministry Team, the coordinator assists the Family & Student Ministry Pastor in the planning and leadership of weekly student ministry programming, outreach to new and returning students, and creating new outreach opportunities to connect students. The responsibilities involve specific mid-week planning meetings, Wednesday and Sunday programming and preparation time, developing new relationship-building opportunities to meet students, and supporting retreat and event experiences. The Student Ministry Coordinator should be relationship-oriented and passionate about middle school, high school, and college-aged students. They should also be committed to engaging with parents, volunteers, and other staff.
Preferred Qualifications:
A personal relationship with Jesus Christ, is evidenced by action, attitude, and behavior.
- Previous success in kids, student, or family ministry
- Bachelor’s degree
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Demonstrates strong communication and organizational skills
- Team player and able to carry out verbal or written instruction
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and with attention to detail
Scope of Responsibilities:
- Build relationships with students, parents, and volunteers by engaging them face to face and digitally
- Identify, recruit, and empower program volunteer teams and student leaders
- Create a welcoming environment and be involved in the community to draw young families to the church through events and community participation.
- Lead small groups on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights.
- Collaborate with Family & Student Ministry Pastor to plan, prepare, and lead mission trips and retreats
- Under the direction of the Family & Student Ministry Pastor, assist in planning, preparing, and executing all Sunday morning and evening programs for students
- Ensure communication and administrative needs are being met
- Attend and/or lead program meetings as directed by supervisor
- Identify, recruit, equip, and train leaders
- Other duties as assigned
This is a full-time, hourly position with required Sunday mornings, Sunday nights, and Wednesday nights.
Hourly pay is $20-$23 depending on qualifications.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
