Woods Edge Rehab is currently seeking an experienced and skilled Director of Nursing, DON.
Qualifications
- Must possess an active license to practice as an RN in the state of Ohio with minimum of 4 years’ experience
- Must have a passion for patient outcomes and customer service
- Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.
- Must be organized and have the ability to communicate effectively with residents, their families, medical personnel, and facility staff in a confidential and professional manner.
Responsibilities
- Under the supervision of the Administrator, the Director of Nursing (DON) has authority, responsibility, and accountability for the functions, activities, and training of the nursing services staff. In the absence of the Administrator, the DON assumes the responsibility for the facility. The DON is responsible for the overall management of resident care 24 hours a day, seven (7) days a week.
- Oversee nursing staff and ensure compliance with nursing standards and regulations.
- Manage nursing operations, including scheduling, staffing, and training.
- Implement and maintain electronic medical record (EMR) systems to enhance patient care.
- Ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and evaluate patient care plans.
- Monitor patient outcomes and adjust care strategies as needed.
- Uphold resident rights and advocate for quality care in assisted living and nursing home settings.
