What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adult Day Program Coordinator position at Woods Services?
Beechwood NeuroRehab, an affiliate of Woods Services, provides residential and therapeutic services to adults with acquired brain injuries. The InSPIRE program is a recreation-based structured day program that focuses on goal-oriented activities to enhance the socialization and daily lives of its participants.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement creative recreational and leisure, as well as creative arts and music, programming to encourage skill development for participants
- Utilize cognitive, behavioral, and physical rehabilitation techniques to increase goal area success and determine the need for modifications, adaptive equipment, assistive devices, etc. to support participants' independence
- Complete weekly documentation of participants’ activities and progress
- Connect as a member of a transdisciplinary team, working closely with other therapeutic clinicians to ensure high-quality care across the continuum.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation/Art/Music Therapy or related Human Services field. Preferred Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist.
- Experience in creative arts, music, adaptive sports, and/or recreation therapy is preferred
- Experience with adults with acquired brain injury is preferred
