We are seeking a Peer Support Specialist to join our 988 Mobile Crisis Outreach Response Teams program.

Responsibilities
- The Peer Support Specialist will lead engagement efforts and provide non-clinical assistance to consumers after the initial crisis has been resolved.
- They will be expected to demonstrate competency in providing peer-to-peer support prior to rendering services independently.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of continuous recovery from an SMI or SUD diagnosis, along with at least one year of field experience working with community individuals.
- Participation in DMHAS approved de-escalation, mental health crisis, substance use crisis, and suicide training.
- Certification from a recognized credentialing entity, such as Addiction Professional Certification Board, Mental Health Association in New Jersey, NAADAC, or others.
- CPR and First Aid training, with the ability to perform techniques as needed.
- Completion of annual Agency trainings and job-related trainings determined by position.
- A valid drivers license and ability to drive an agency-owned vehicle.
About the Program
The 988 Mobile Crisis Outreach Response Teams operate throughout Burlington County and Mercer County, providing mobile crisis outreach response services for adults through the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.
Services include immediate and timely crisis intervention, de-escalation and stabilization in the community, and prevention of hospitalization and law enforcement intervention when possible.
