What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server/Bartender position at Woodside Restaurant?
Duties:
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and efficient manner
- Take food and drink orders accurately and promptly
- Enter orders into the POS system and process payments
- Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely manner
- Assist with food preparation and plating as needed
- Clear and clean tables during and after guests have finished dining
- Provide excellent guest service, addressing any concerns or special requests
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including sanitizing surfaces
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a server or in a customer service role is preferred
- Advanced wine and spirit knowledge is preferred
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to work well within a team
Description:
Woodside is a small, high-end restaurant dedicated to providing the St. Simons Island community with a unique dining experience. Servers are expected to engage with guests about our food and beverage offerings in a uniquely engaging and hospitable way. Menus change frequently, and regulars are a large portion of our customers. We will also give preference to those who are willing/qualified to cross-train as a bartender.
Schedule:
Wednesday - Saturday 3pm-11pm (hours may fluctuate based on business levels)
Sunday 9am - 4pm
*Private events and offsite events may fall on traditionally closed days
*Holiday hours vary, with most major holidays off for staff including Christmas and Thanksgiving.
*Most Mondays and Tuesdays are off, as the restaurant doesn't normally open on those days.
