Duties
- Perform routine medical tests and procedures as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Collect and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist in the administration of medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any significant changes to the medical staff.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure optimal patient care in acute care, senior care, and dementia care settings.
- Utilize electronic health record systems, such as Cerner, for documentation and communication.
- Provide compassionate caregiving to patients, ensuring their comfort and safety.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology is essential.
- Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly Cerner, is a plus.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to patient confidentiality.
- Experience in assisted living, home care, or senior care environments is advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively in acute care situations and provide specialized dementia care when necessary.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient interaction.
- Certification or relevant training in medical technology or related fields is preferred.
