What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safety/Overnight Guest Services position at Woodspring Suites Port St Lucie - TGC?
This is a highly responsible position in which the incumbent will live onsite and oversee the property after hours by making rounds through the evening, checking in guests, responding to guest’s needs, acting as manager on duty, and assuring operations are according to standard. This position will include free rent and utilities!
Safety Attendants cover the below schedule and are required to live onsite and work a minimum of 2 days a week.
The hours (on call) are:
· 8:00 pm to 8:00 am Monday through Thursday
· 8:00 pm Friday to 10:00 am Saturday
· 4:00pm Saturday to 10:00am Sunday
· 4:00pm Sunday until 8:00 am Monday
The Safety Attendant completes 27 physical inspections of the property per week at various times set forth by the general manager and based on the property can be asked to complete more rounds as needed.
The Safety Attendant must clock in when making rounds and assisting guests and clock out when returning to their room.
Coordinate with other departments to fulfill guest special requests.
Communicate hotel amenities and services to guests at check-in.
Answer guest questions regarding local area facilities.
Responsible for maintaining hotel key security system.
Know hotel emergency procedures and be prepared to carry out.
Read and communicate through the logbook daily.
Arrive to work on time, if not early, to prepare to take over the front desk.
Wear cleaned and pressed hotel uniform when at the front desk, to include name badge.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of front desk procedures.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Prefer at least one year experience in front desk or customer service role.
SKILLS/ABILITIES: Customer service skills, computer skills, ability to multi-task, excellent communication, customer service.
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.

AVERAGE HEARING: Ability to hear average conversations at a standard level in a food service environment.

AVERAGE VISION: Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
PHYSICAL STRENGTH: The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds occasionally and lift and/or move up to 10 pounds frequently, as well as stand, for long periods of time.
