**Overview:**
We are seeking a skilled Woodworker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in woodworking and possess the ability to work independently. You will operate woodworking machinery and equipment, as well as identify areas of improvement to increase efficiency. The Woodworker will be responsible for creating custom wood products, such as beams, walls, moulding, cabinetry, and furniture. The successful applicant will have excellent craftsmanship skills and the ability to work with various materials.
Responsibilities:
- Operate, maintain and clean manufacturing machinery and equipment
- Operate specialized pieces of woodworking machinery
- Responsible for producing, crafting, and testing wood products such as beams, moldings, and furniture using specialized tools
- Assemble products according to provided specifications
- Ability to read and understand blueprints a plus
- Complete work orders and requests in a timely fashion
- Operate hand or power tools
- Complete quality control checks and inspections to ensure products meet standards. Quality control may be of their own work in real time or the work of others as a step of the manufacturing process.
- Troubleshoot mechanical failures
- Perform routine preventative maintenance
- Adhere to safety policies and procedures
- Establish a culture of respect, hard work, consistency and effective communication with all team members.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in woodworking manufacturing a must
- Familiarity with manufacturing machinery and equipment
- Organized and detail oriented
- Basic computer skills and comfort with technology
- Ability to communicate with others, especially verbally
- Ability to safely work in a high-paced environment
- Experience operating standard manufacturing and warehouse equipment
- Forklift certification a plus
- Ability to handle physical workload: Lifting of raw materials and prolonged standing is routinely required.
- Collaborate with other craftsmen to complete large-scale projects.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet customer expectations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $27.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 48 per week
