Location: Woodstock North High School Position Type: Part-Time / Seasonal Job Summary: The Woodstock North Head Football Coach is responsible for leading the school’s football program, providing a positive and competitive environment for student-athletes, and fostering their growth both on and off the field. The coach will develop training programs, oversee game strategies, and promote teamwork, leadership, and sportsmanship. Key Responsibilities: - Program Development: Design and implement training programs that enhance players' skills, fitness, and teamwork. - Game Strategy: Plan and execute game strategies, including scouting opponents and analyzing game performance. - Player Development: Mentor and support student-athletes in their personal and athletic development, promoting academic success alongside athletic achievement. - Communication: Maintain open lines of communication with players, parents, and school administration regarding team policies, schedules, and expectations. - Safety and Compliance: Ensure all training and competition activities adhere to safety standards and comply with state and national regulations. - Team Management: Organize and oversee team practices, competitions, and travel arrangements, ensuring a well-organized program. - Collaboration: Work closely with assistant coaches, athletic directors, and other school staff to promote a positive team culture and support school initiatives. Qualifications: - Previous experience coaching football at the high school level or equivalent. - Strong knowledge of football techniques, strategies, and rules. - Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - First Aid and CPR certification (preferred).
