Job Summary
The School Counselor plays a vital role in fostering a supportive and nurturing environment for students. This position involves working closely with students, parents, and educators to promote academic success, emotional well-being, and social development. The School Counselor will provide guidance and support in areas such as conflict resolution, behavioral health, and academic advising, ensuring that each student can thrive in a diverse educational setting.
Responsibilities
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address students' academic, social, and emotional needs.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to develop strategies for supporting students’ learning and behavioral challenges.
- Provide crisis intervention and support for students facing personal or academic difficulties.
- Assist in the development of individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Facilitate workshops and programs on topics such as conflict management, stress relief, and cultural diversity.
- Monitor student progress through standardized testing and provide feedback to parents and educators.
- Maintain accurate records of counseling sessions and student progress while ensuring confidentiality.
- Serve as a liaison between families and child protective services when necessary to ensure child welfare.
Requirements
- Master's degree in School Counseling or a related field
- State licensure or certification in School Counseling

Pay: $54,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
