This position is located in Woodward, Iowa (approximately 35 minutes outside of the Des Moines Metro).

No Experience Necessary - We Train!
Direct Support Professionals/Resident Treatment Workers (RTWs) perform basic para-professional nursing or therapeutic work in the care or treatment of Individuals living at Woodward Resource Center.
All Direct Support Professionals/Resident Treatment Workers (RTWs) are required to be available to work mandatory extra hours to meet Individual care standards. Description of work:
Take appropriate action per DHS/WRC policies, procedures and work rules to ensure the rights of Individuals.
Demonstrate knowledge of appropriate management and training techniques so that Individuals are protected and their training needs are addressed.
Provide continuous active treatment programs to each Individual so that each may function with as much independence and self-determination as possible.
Follow accepted health care and sanitation procedures so that Individuals reside in a safe, secure, and healthy environment.
Complete administrative procedures and related duties so the work environment enhances the WRC mission.
Other duties as assigned.
