Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated, self-starter to join our team as an Inside Sales Commercial Estimator, with the opportunity to grow into an Outside Commercial Sales role. This position involves estimating, pricing, take-offs, and preparing submittals for commercial projects—doors, windows, hardware, moulding, and custom millwork. Ideal candidates will have a strong interest in commercial sales, excellent attention to detail, and a willingness to learn the full sales process from initial estimating to client-facing field work. We're looking for a team player with solid multi-tasking abilities and a positive, proactive attitude who thrives in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment. This is an on-site, full-time position with standard business hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Estimating & Pricing: Accurately analyze project blueprints, specifications, and bids to estimate costs and material requirements while also managing large quotes and orders for doors, windows, mouldings, and hardware for both residential and commercial projects.
- Take-Offs: Perform material take-offs for accurate cost and supply planning.
- Submittals: Prepare and submit required documentation, including proposals, specifications, drawings, and other project-related materials.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with the sales team, project managers, and vendors to align project goals and expectations.
- Technical Skills: Utilize software tools like Bluebeam and CAD (a plus) to enhance project accuracy and efficiency.
- Computer Proficiency: Strong familiarity with Office 365 (Word, Excel) and Agility company software (training provided).
Qualifications:
- Experience in construction estimating or project management, preferably in millwork, doors, windows, or hardware.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel); experience with CAD and Bluebeam is a plus.
- Strong understanding of reading blueprints, specifications, bids and other construction related documents.
- Self-motivated, positive, punctual, and adaptable to a changing work environment.
- Strong multi-tasking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
- High school or equivalent (Preferred).
