Responsibilities
- Assist and support new technicians transitioning from a different brand with learning FMC processes and requirements
- Assist and support less experienced technicians with learning Woody Anderson Ford (WAF) operating systems and software
- Proactively anticipate and fill training gaps for new technicians; both those new to FMC and those new to WAF
- Assist technicians with navigating STARS XP/Ford University and emphasize the importance of completing training towards master certification
- Assist technicians with correctly documenting “stories” on repair orders
- Assist with Warranty and Parts Prior Approval (WEPA) and Smart cost cap submissions
- Assist Shop Foremen with dispatch as directed
- Assist Shop Foremen with follow up on Repair Orders, Quality Control and test-driving vehicles as directed
- Assist Warranty Department as directed by Warranty Administrator
- Support Service Advisors by assisting with updating guests on their vehicles’ status
- Support Service Advisors by answering technical questions
Qualifications
- High school diploma or the equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of Ford Service Technician experience
- Integrity and honesty are absolute requirements
- Effectively model and reinforce company Core Values and Mission Statement
- Ability to type and utilize all functions of a computer and various operating programs
- Efficiency using Microsoft Suite Programs such as: Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and subsequent random drug screens
