Canine Care Specialist - Care and front desk

Doggy Daycare and/or Kennel (or equivalent) experience necessary for this opening.

PT 6-18 hours per week. Stable work crew with very low turnover.

We have a static, set schedule so you'll know when you work :-)

We are looking for someone with some weekend availability as well as some weekday availability starting at 1pm.

DUTIES MAY INCLUDE:

Check clients in and out
Make and edit reservations
Be sure that customer directions are followed

Provide a great experience for our customers

Maintain a clean play area
Hug adorable puppies and dogs to make sure they feel safe and comfortable
Be sure the dogs are playing safely with each other
Sanitize facility at the end of the day
Feed the dogs
Baths/Nail trims/brushing

Requirements: Open or nearly open holiday availability required

(Christmas, New Years, 4th of July and Thanksgiving) You will NOT be working every holiday.

Requirements: This job requires the following abilities:

*Reading and writing English

*Standing, bending and walking for up to 6.5 hours per shift, without sitting (besides a break)

*Being outside in a partially shaded area for up to 1 hour at a time in temperatures between approximately 50 and 85 degrees

*Tolerance of the noise associated with dog barks

*Tolerance of dogs bumping into you, jumping on you or scratching you accidentally

*Willingness to be flexible between the work tasks you are trained for. Sometimes changes to your assigned duties will take place last minute.

*Ability to work with frequent human and canine interruptions

*Ability to occasionally help other staff when they need a day off so that they can help you when you need a day off.

(Shift times are 630am/8am to 1pm and 1pm to 7pm, approximately. Sometimes accommodations may be made.)

ADDITIONAL PAY:
$3 extra pay per hour Fri PM to Sun PM
Time and a Half pay for for Saturday afternoon shifts
