As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of pets while delivering high-quality grooming services that meet the needs of both pets and their owners.
Duties
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs and cats.
- Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about their pets' needs and grooming options.
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use.
- Handle animals safely and effectively, utilizing proper animal restraint techniques when necessary.
- Monitor the behavior and health of pets during grooming sessions, reporting any concerns to pet owners or veterinary staff as needed.
- Assist in pet care tasks such as feeding, walking, or providing medication when required.
Experience
- Previous experience in pet grooming or related fields such as veterinary technician or animal care is preferred but not mandatory.
- Skills in customer service, pet care, dog handling, and animal restraint are highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger breeds or equipment is essential.
- Familiarity with equine care is a plus but not required.
