Provide Full Grooming Services: Bathing, brushing, trimming, nail clipping, and ear cleaning tailored to specific breed standards or owner preferences.
Pet Styling: Create styles that enhance the pet’s appearance while ensuring their comfort and safety.
Health Monitoring: Observe and inform pet owners of any health concerns like skin conditions or parasites.
Sanitation: Keep grooming areas clean and sanitized to maintain high health and safety standards.
Pet Handling: Treat all animals with kindness, patience, and skill to minimize stress during grooming.
Client Interaction: Offer grooming advice, schedule appointments, and provide exceptional customer service to pet owners.
Key Responsibilities:
Adapt grooming techniques to suit individual pet needs and owner requests.
Ensure a positive grooming experience for each pet.
Maintain a clean and professional salon environment.
Communicate effectively with pet owners about their pet’s grooming needs and health.
Requirements:
At least 2 years of professional grooming experience with dogs and cats.
Knowledge of breed-specific grooming, pet behavior, safety, and health issues.
Ability to manage pets of all sizes and temperaments gently.
Outstanding customer service abilities.
Physical capability to stand for long periods and handle pet lifting.
Commitment to full-time work in a dynamic salon setting.
Must bring personal grooming tools; salon-grade equipment provided.
Certification from a grooming school is advantageous.
Cleaning Responsibilities:
Daily upkeep of grooming stations, tools, and salon areas to ensure hygiene and a pleasant atmosphere.
Payment:
Compensation: This position offers a competitive salary with the potential for earnings between $65,000 to $100,000 annually, depending on experience and performance. Based on 50% commission on grooming services, along with tips which can significantly enhance your income.
