They have a firm understanding of anatomy, breed profiles, structure, and movement, which they can apply artistically. Their tools are of the highest caliber, allowing them to create remarkable trims in a short amount of time. They work with great speed and efficiency without sacrificing quality and safety and have expert control of clippers, shears, combs, brushes, blades, and stripping knives.
Dog grooming is more than just aesthetics-it is also about health. Grooming helps keep dogs clean and free of parasites, which can help prevent disease. It also keeps them calm and relaxed, which prevents stress-related issues like chewing or scratching.
Dog Groomer Responsibilities
· Bathing, drying, and brushing dogs to clean them, removing dead skin and debris from their coats, and adding shampoos and conditioners as needed
· Massaging pets to relieve stress and improve blood circulation
· Brushing and combing pets' fur to remove tangles and reduce shedding
· Drying dogs using blow-dryers, brushes, or towels
· Grooming dogs using clippers, scissors, or electric razors
· Trimming and filing nails
· Shaving the dog's face, neck, tail, and legs as needed to keep them in good condition
· Cleaning ears, eyes, paws, and teeth as needed
· Cleaning kennels or cages to remove feces, urine, or other waste products
· Cleaning the salon, such as the floor, tables, and trash cans
