Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services to a variety of pets, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the grooming process. This role requires a love for animals, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for dogs and cats.
- Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin, identifying any issues that may require veterinary attention.
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, adhering to safety and sanitation standards.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding grooming needs and recommendations.
- Handle pets with care and ensure their comfort during the grooming process.
- Assist in managing appointments and scheduling for grooming services.
- Provide additional pet care services as needed, such as pet sitting or training.
Skills
- Proven experience in pet grooming is preferred; certification in pet grooming is a plus.
- Knowledge of animal care practices, including basic veterinary knowledge.
- Skills in animal restraint techniques to ensure safety during grooming sessions.
- Familiarity with various breeds and their specific grooming needs.
- Experience in kennel management or veterinary settings is beneficial.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a calm demeanor with pets.
- Strong communication skills to interact positively with pet owners and team members.
- Additional skills in dog training or equine care are advantageous.
