Part Time Pet Sitter / Dog Walker

We seek a dedicated and passionate Dog Walker / Pet Sitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and the ability to provide exceptional care while ensuring the safety and well-being of dogs during walks and various pets during visits. This role requires strong customer service skills, as you will interact with pets. pet parents, and representing our brand. Flexibility in scheduling is essential, as walks may vary throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Walk dogs of various sizes and breeds, ensuring they are safe and comfortable at all times.
• Visits with dogs, cats, small mammals, birds, or reptiles
• Maintain control of dogs using proper handling techniques to prevent escapes or accidents.
• Provide care for pets overnight in your home or the homes of the pet parents.
• Provide basic care for dogs during walks, including hydration breaks and waste clean-up.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's behavior and any concerns arising while in your care.
• Ensure all dogs are leashed properly and follow local leash laws during outings.
• Report any health or behavioral issues observed during walks promptly.
• Maintain a positive attitude while interacting with clients and their pets, enhancing customer satisfaction.
• Give exercise to the pet through walking, backyard play, and indoor play as needed
• Provide feeding and fresh water
• Give medications when necessary
• Communicate with client via our app to share information from the day’s visit
• Communicate with back-office team members as necessary
• 18 years of age

Experience

• Previous experience in animal care, such as dog handling, pet sitting, or working in a kennel environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with veterinary practices or experience as a veterinary technician or assistant is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners and address their needs.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting if required, such as assisting larger dogs or carrying supplies during walks.
• A genuine love for animals and a commitment to providing high-quality care is essential for success in this role.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
