Mobile Dog Groomer

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and the skills necessary to provide exceptional grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of pets while delivering outstanding customer service to pet owners. Your expertise in pet grooming and care will help create a positive experience for both pets and their owners.

Responsibilities

• Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, clipping, and styling of various breeds of dogs and cats.
• Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques and products.
• Maintain a clean and safe grooming environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ grooming needs, health concerns, and any special requests.
• Handle animals with care, using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure safety during grooming procedures.
• Provide basic health checks on pets during grooming sessions, identifying any potential issues that may require veterinary attention.
• Build strong relationships with clients through excellent customer service and follow-up communication.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in pet grooming or related fields such as animal handling, veterinary assistance, or animal care is preferred.
• Knowledge of various breeds and their specific grooming needs is essential.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners.
• Experience with animal restraint techniques to ensure safety for both the groomer and the pet.
• A compassionate attitude towards animals and a commitment to their well-being.
• Certification in pet grooming or related fields is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $19.53 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 per week
