Accounting Manager (Bilingual Korean / English)

Job Summary : The Accounting Manager at Woojin Industrial Systems America will be responsible for overseeing the accounting department and ensuring smooth financial operations. This role involves managing cash flow, financial reporting, compliance with tax and audit requirements, and supporting strategic financial planning. The ideal candidate will possess a BA in Accounting or Business Administration, or have 8-10 years of relevant experience. Fluency in both English and Korean is required, along with strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills. Key Responsibilities : Management : Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions. Maintain accounting policies, procedures, and an orderly filing system. Manage cash balances, cash flow forecasting, and banking relationships. Ensure timely payment of accounts payable and prompt collection of accounts receivable. Ensure the completion of bank reconciliations and debt payments. Oversee financial transactions and maintain a system of controls. Collaborate with external CPA and auditors to ensure compliance with tax and financial reporting requirements. Reporting : Prepare and issue accurate financial statements in a timely manner. Manage the production of annual budgets, forecasts, and management reports. Track financial performance against benchmarks and issue reports on variances. Provide financial analysis to support decision-making and operational performance. Coordinate annual reports and ensure timely tax filings (including sales tax returns and 1099s). Compliance : Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting and tax regulations. Provide necessary documentation and information for external audits. Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants. Leadership : Lead and coach the accounting team to meet and exceed monthly goals. Develop and implement new procedures to enhance the efficiency of the accounting department. Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors and customers. Mentor and support new team members and foster a collaborative team environment. Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (equivalent experience will be considered). 8-10 years of relevant experience in accounting or financial management. Proficiency in accounting / ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with V-Lookups and Pivot Tables is a plus. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Korean. Leadership experience with the ability to coach, develop, and manage a team. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work across multifunctional teams. Experience in tax compliance, financial reporting, and budgeting.
