We are seeking an experienced plaintiff discovery legal assistant or paralegal with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in personal injury to join our team. This role is essential in managing all aspects of incoming and outbound discovery, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with procedural rules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle all aspects of discovery, including drafting, reviewing, and responding to interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission.
- Manage document production, including organizing, indexing, and summarizing discovery materials.
- Work closely with attorneys to develop discovery strategies and maintain case timelines.
- Conduct detailed reviews and analysis of discovery responses to identify missing or incomplete information.
- Coordinate and track deadlines to ensure timely responses to discovery requests.
- Assist with the preparation of depositions, including organizing exhibits, drafting outlines, and summarizing transcripts.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and experts regarding discovery matters.
- Utilize case management software and legal databases to maintain and organize discovery files.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in personal injury.
- Strong understanding of state and federal rules of civil procedure related to discovery.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
- Proficiency in drafting and case management software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Remote or in-office (Ponte Vedra) availability.
