Key Responsibilities:
- Draft legal documents of varying complexity.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, one-on-one lunches, coffee meetups, hearings, and occasional client consultations.
- Handle unscheduled calls from clients, opposing counsel, paralegals, pro se defendants, and other involved parties.
- File documents in trial, appellate, and federal courts.
- Monitor and manage incoming emails consistently.
- Scan, bate stamp, and produce discovery materials.
- Track and create deadlines for all case files.
- Communicate with process servers regarding new locations, including conducting extensive background checks on avoidant individuals.
- Coordinate with court reporters for depositions and hearings.
- Conduct legal research using both AI-assisted tools and traditional methods.
- Attend trials and hearings to provide support as needed.
- Save, organize, and maintain case files.
- Organize and manage faxes received through the Woolsey Morcom inbox.
- Notarize legal documents as required.
- Create and maintain case folders.
- Schedule depositions, hearings, and other key legal proceedings.
- Assist attorneys with additional tasks as needed, which may vary significantly based on case demands.
Qualifications:
- , preferably in commercial litigation.
- Proficiency in court filings at trial, appellate, and federal levels.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience conducting background checks and working with process servers.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted legal research tools is a plus.
- Notary Public certification (or willingness to obtain one).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and case management software.
- Knowledge of using Excel.
