Job Description
Develop and provide database architecture
Develop and maintain SOPs, diagrams, other related documentation and requirements
Monitor vendor service performance via KPIs, SLAs, SLOs in accordance with contract
Support project planning, architecture and implementation as required
Ensure patch monitoring and deployments are in accordance with service levels
Conduct database performance optimization
Conduct query analysis
Manage physical and logical backup, and restore / recovery for backup strategy
Manage high availability / clustering / redundancy using native tools
Ensure availability of infrastructure via service level management
Oversee database, software acquisition, installation, and changes
Actively participate in Incident Mgmt and Problem Mgmt (e.g. RCA) processes
Maintain Change Mgmt compliance
Support in Disaster Recovery planning and execution
Track database assets, allocation, software licenses and service agreements
Salary : $90K to $110K / Per year
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in IT / IS desired or 8-10 years relevant work experience in related functional role
Extensive experience with RDBMS and no-SQL platforms
Experience with database administration and design
Experience with setup and configuration of high availability clusters and data replication.
Experience with storage allocation through volume management
Experience with bare-metal and virtualized system
Experience with database access control and auditing
Experience with encryption and key management
Experience in managing service provider and vendors, deliverables and KPI results
Knowledge and experience with Oracle, MS SQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, MongoDB
Knowledge in Tibero is a plus
Experience with scripting in SQL statements and stored procedures
Ability to manage, provision, and plan for future growth
Experience with managing large-scale environments
ITIL v3 or higher is a plus
Knowledge in ServiceNow or other related ITSM ticketing tools
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks / Projects in a fast-paced environment.
Highly motivated with a desire to improve skills, processes and procedures.
