Position Description
Position Title: BA Floater/Afternoon Extended Day Teacher
Reports To: Center Director
Position Requirements: Bachelors Degree with a concentration in ECE, Child Development, Early Childhood Special Education or a related field; ability to work with young children. Must be able to travel between centers on short notice. Must be able to lift and carry children (typically 30 - 50 Lbs.). CPR and First Aid certified, or working towards.
BASIC PURPOSE: To provide for coverage absences of classroom staff; to provide direct care to the children in the extended day program.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Provide back-up support to assigned classrooms, rotating between centers / classrooms as necessary.
· Assist classroom staff implement the daily educational program for children.
· Encourage and foster open communication with parents
· Attend staff meetings, workshops, and other training sessions as requested by Head Teacher, to learn agency objectives and philosophy as well as specific job skills.
· Share information about children and families appropriately, always ensuring confidentiality.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Perform other related duties as requested by supervisor.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.31 - $32.21 per hour
