Woonsocket Head Start Child Development Association, Inc. is looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join our team in Woonsocket, RI.
What We Are Looking For:
We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant/Dishwasher that is organized, reliable, and has the ability to multi-task. The Kitchen Assistant will be working with other kitchen staff to assist in the daily operations of the kitchen. The ideal candidate will be able to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining a clean and orderly environment in the kitchen.
Duties Include:
Assist in preparing food and other items for service, including cleaning, stocking, and organizing product on shelves, in containers, and on plates
- Prepare food for service by prepping ingredients, cooking, and chopping/peeling vegetables, meats, sauces, and other ingredients
- Maintain sanitary kitchen by washing dishes, cleaning counters, sanitizing surfaces as needed, and cleaning windows and doors
- Follow instructions from chefs at a rapid pace while maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen area
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management
Experience:
A high school diploma or GED is required
- Prior experience in a kitchen environment is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills are essential. Must be able to follow directions. Must be able to work in a team environment.
