Retail Sales Associate (part-time)

Woops! Macarons & Gifts Westchester is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our brand, delivering exceptional customer service to each and every one of our customers. You will have a direct and immediate impact on the success of Woops! by being directly responsible for driving sales through effective communication, product knowledge, and a passion for helping customers find that special treat or gift.

What you will do:

• Greet customers warmly and delight them through exceptional service
• Create a memorable experience and make a real connection with all customers
• Demonstrate thorough product knowledge and offer exceptional gifting advice
• Utilize consultative selling techniques to enhance the customer’s shopping experience and increase sales
• Adhere to operational procedures, including food handling, cleaning, and sanitation standards
• Maintain an organized and clean product display and manage inventory levels to create an appealing shopping environment
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and ensure quality control
• Conduct inventory daily
• Utilize POS system to process transactions accurately and efficiently
• Handle cash and perform cash handling duties with precision, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly
• Perform the physical requirements of the role, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, squatting
• Foster an inclusive culture by treating customers and colleagues with respect

Who you are:

• Previous experience in retail sales or a similar customer-facing role is preferred but not required
• Strong selling skills with the ability to engage customers effectively
• Able to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated
• Possess excellent communication skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
• Organized, attentive, and detail-oriented
• An energetic self-starter with high integrity and an entrepreneurial spirit
• Passionate about food and high-quality pastries
• Proficient in cash register operations, basic math skills, and retail math concepts
• Experience with cash handling procedures and maintaining accurate financial records
• A proactive, adaptable problem-solver who reacts quickly in unexpected situations
• Able to work a flexible 25-30 hours per week schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays
