WOOSTER COMMUNITY HOSPITAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Human Resources Generalist FLSA: Exempt
Position will be 30 to 36 hours per week
MAIN FUNCTION:
Assists with the administration of the day-to-day operations of the human resources functions and duties of both Wooster Community Hospital and Bloomington Medical Services.
RESPONSIBLE TO:
Vice President, Human Resources
Also works under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer, Bloomington Medical Services
MUST HAVE REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to effectively prepare written communication utilizing knowledge of composition, spelling and grammar.
- Must be discreet, trustworthy, display excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to think proactively and independently and work well as part of a team.

PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES:
- 1-3 years Human Resources and/or general office experience, preferably in healthcare
- Associates Degree in Business or Human Resources
- HRCI or SHRM Certification

POSITION EXPECTATIONS:
- Follows Appropriate Service Standards
- Provides oversight & tracking of annual rate changes & performance evaluations for employees.
- Answers phones and greets employees and answers general human resources questions.
- Supports WCH employee onboarding process as needed.
- Provide personnel policy and procedure guidance to employees and management.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of federal & state employment law & compliance requirements.
- Coordinates open enrollments, changes, and training for employee benefits programs for Bloomington Medical Services employees.
- Responds to requests for employment verifications.
- Assists with payroll processing for Bloomington Medical Services.
- Facilitates a portion of the BMS new employee on-boarding and orientation.
- Collaborates with the BMS leadership team to develop effective recruitment strategies.
- Maintains WCH and BMS employee personnel records in the electronic system.
