Position Summary: The Executive Director (ED) of GOLD serves as the primary leader, strategist, external champion, and internal manager of GOLD’s mission, goals, and objectives. The ED translates strategy into action and results by developing an annual operating plan and budget, which support the strategic plan. The ED reports to the Board of Directors (Board) and is responsible for GOLD’s consistent achievement of its mission, financial objectives, program development, and administration.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree required; two years nonprofit or business management experience preferred; strong organization, prioritizing, self-management, and time-management skills; high level of computer proficiency (strong skills in Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel) and knowledge of effective marketing strategies; experience in grant writing and fundraising efforts; ability to relate to people at all levels of an organization; strong presentation skills; ability to recruit, organize, lead, and motivate volunteers; confidential; detail-oriented; and highly competent in oral and written communications including proofreading; provides own transportation.
Terms: Work schedule and conditions of employment are in accordance with policy of the Board of Directors. This is a salaried full-time position. This position will require work outside of the normal work schedule for fundraising events and presentations. This position requires the ability to lift 30 pounds.
