Worcester Eisenbrandt (WEI) a construction company specializing in Historic Restoration is seeking you, the experienced
Assistant Project Manager.
Some of the position responsibilities are:
- Interact with construction staff, contractors and equipment vendors
- Assist in the oversight of multiple construction projects
- Assist in reporting and following deadlines, scope of work and budgets
- Source and coordinate materials and equipment according to project timeline
- Maintain daily logs of assigned job sites.
- Ability to read blue prints and other plan documents.
- Assist in the supervision construction staff such as: carpenters, masons and pointers
- Assist in sourcing sub-contractors and assign sub work accordingly
- Prioritize operations and make changes in operations to meet deadlines.
- At the direction of the Project Manager, create purchase orders consistent with the terms and conditions contained in the subcontractor bids, contract documents, according to Company policy.
- Have the ability to make detailed list of the exact quantities of materials required for the project. Comfortable with takeoffs..
- Experience with the change order process.
- Position Requirements
- 3-5 years experience in commercial construction;
- Previous construction management experience;
- Historic preservation knowledge is a plus;
- Proficiency with Excel software
