Worcester Interactive is a growing digital marketing agency in Worcester, MA that specializes in digital advertising, social media management and web design for small to medium-sized businesses. We are looking for a highly motivated individual to serve in a newly created role as a Digital Marketing and Social Media Specialist. Reporting directly to the CEO, this position is part of a dynamic digital marketing team that is excited to incorporate expertise and energy into the development of digital advertising and social media strategies for our clients, with ongoing testing and optimization.
As a Social Media Specialist, you will be expected to:
Social Media
- Own the implementation of our clients’ social media strategies and champion development moving forward
- Collaborate with multiple content creators to source content, taking responsibility for the transformation to “social-ready” using graphics, hashtags, text editing, etc. – working within brand guidelines and aligning with vertical marketing plans
- Drive the process for creating monthly content calendars, managing daily content development, and scheduling of all channels
- Leverage digital tools including a social media scheduling platform and a video/visual creation platform, among others
- Lead the selection and integration of new measurement tools
- Build out and integrate social media into monthly reporting for all channels
- Evaluate social media performance based on defined metrics and leverage data for continuous improvement
- Take initiative to comb industry trends and find conversations of interest for the company to join
- Monitor customer service and engagement of all channels and direct the conversation to appropriate stakeholders
- Become an active advocate for the company’s compliance and legal policies
- Develop innovative marketing strategies for clients based on analysis of performance data and their individual business needs
- Analyze monthly performance data and create reports for clients
- Meet with clients via video chat or in person for monthly marketing performance meetings
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; focus in marketing or communications desirable, or commensurate experience
- Strong visual design skills are a must. Ideally, candidates will be experienced with tools such as Photoshop and / or Canva.
- 1-3 years social media management experience is desirable, ideally corporate or agency experience, however this is an entry-level position and training will be provided.
- Proficiency using Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter in a professional capacity; a portfolio or collection of links to any examples of channels you have developed will be requested
- Working knowledge of social media analytics, including use of Metricool, Canva, or comparable social media tools
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to think strategically and analytically with an intellectual curiosity for developing skill sets

- Position is based in headquarters office in Worcester, MA
- Position is a hybrid schedule with 4 days in-office and one work-from-home day per week
