Director of Adult programming, Jewish Enrichment, Arts and Culture
The Director of Adult programming, Jewish Enrichment, Arts and Culture is responsible for oversight and strategy related to adult, family, arts and culture programming and engagement. This position focuses on mission driven programs related to adult, family, arts and culture, and the agency’s Jewish identity. The establishment of close working relationships between multiple departments is critical to the success of this position.

- Exhibits a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Is willing to work weekends, evenings and abnormal hours, as well as indoors and outdoors.
- Is invested in the overall success of the agency.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plans, supervises and executes adult, family, art and culture, and Judaic and Israel related programming.
- Supports others -staff and lay leaders - in visioning, planning and implementing events related to key signature program areas.
- Some key signature programs which will fall into this portfolio include: the annual Jewish International Film Festival, the annual JCC Author Series, Jewish holiday programming, varied and regular programming of interest to and which engages adult families and members, Good Deeds Day, Judaic and Israel focused programming, ceramics classes, the annual Tanglewood trip, and the art gallery shows and receptions.
- Oversees grant program report functions as needed and prescribed related to program focus areas.
- Leads appropriate committees as primary staff.
- Works with the Executive Director and Development staff to identify and cultivate community partners to grow our program related collaborative opportunities; and supervises any part time staff who help deliver programming.
- Partners with the Marketing team to coordinate marketing efforts related to relevant program areas.
- Develops comprehensive plans related to agency outreach, communication and engagement in connection with key program areas.
- Represents the agency at relevant community events.
- Develop new/expanded, relevant, and value-added programming in each department, cultivating the new programs with the appropriate staff, and supervising the execution of the programs.
- Manages program budgets.
- Evaluates programs.
- Generates opportunities to ignite or reignite connections with adult members.
- All other assignments as deemed appropriate by the Executive Director.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree or related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5 years’ non-profit or transferable experience.
- Excellent project management and prioritization skills.
- Is very familiar with the local Jewish community and culture, or have previously worked at a JCC or similar organization.
- Experience with event planning including the use of audio-visual equipment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
Salary range: $52,000 to $57,000
