We are seeking a dedicated and organized Receptionist/ Medical Assistant to join our team. Duties
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage front desk operations, including answering phone calls and scheduling appointments.
- Review and maintain accurate documentation for patient records, including health information management.
- Assist with the completion of insurance forms and verify patient insurance coverage.
- Utilize Athenahealth software for patient management and appointment scheduling.
- Provide support to dental staff by preparing necessary documentation and assisting with ICD-10 coding as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area to enhance the patient experience.
- Handle inquiries regarding dental services, procedures, and office policies.
Skills
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate documentation review.
- Previous experience in a front desk role within a dental or medical office is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with ICD-10 coding is an asset for efficient record management.
- Experience as a medical receptionist or dental receptionist is advantageous.
- Proficient in using healthcare management software such as Athenahealth.
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with patients and staff alike.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure.
