SUBJECT: Teacher: Veterinary Assisting Instructor - Vocational Chapter 74 REPORTS TO: Veterinary Assisting Department HeadWorcester Technical High School, a blue ribbon technical vocational school is soliciting applications for the 2023-2024 school year. This individual is accountable for teaching and supervision of students in the Animal Science Chapter 74 Career Vocational Technical Education (CVTE) state frameworks and curriculum disciplines under the direction of the Veterinary Assisting Department Head.PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: (to be included along with other responsibilities)1. Responsible for the development and implementation of departmental curriculum objectives and competencies.2. Responsible for the integration of the departments curriculum where appropriate.3.

Massachusetts teachers licensure in Animal Science 9-14, Chapter 74 or ability to obtain within 1 year.4. Three years of full-time working experience in Animal Science.5. Evidence of mastery of a wide variety of vocational/technical teacher competencies and the understanding of instructional techniques.6. Evidence of Animal Science/Veterinary Industry experience to include clinical, interpersonal, and customer service skills.7.
Competent in computer applications8. SEI EndorsementPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Advanced educational preparation.2. Evidence of educational leadership.3.
OSHA Trainer4. Knowledge of NAVTA Approved Veterinary Assistant Programs and credentialing.5. Competent in computer applications6. Demonstrated experience supporting students with special needs.7.
