Position Type: Part-time, Seasonal
General Job Description:
The Polar Park Security Department are looking for helpful, positive, knowledgeable, compassionate, energetic, and proactive individuals to be a part of the Polar Park Security Team. Security Team Members play an essential role in the safety and security operations for the park and are responsible for the overall well-being for all guests, employees and integrity of operations.
Role and Responsibilities:
  • Interacting with and admitting guests and employees into the park providing directions, answering inquiries and organizing support.
  • Assist in providing a safe environment for event operations
  • Operate patron screening devices (metal detector/wands) at all entry points for prohibited items, as well as check bags and purses as neededVerify credentials to control access in restricted areas
  • Observe and investigate all suspicious activity, customer complaints, and emergencies
  • Monitor Player Parking Lot for safety and security of guests, employees, and vehicles
  • Respond immediately to potential problems such as fighting, disorderly conduct, excessive use of alcohol, smoking, and abusive languages
  • Write reports on any and all accidents or problems that could occur, as well as notify supervisor(s)
  • Patrol premises to ensure the ballpark is secureMonitor assigned sections/locations for guest or safety issues
  • Assist with pre and post event activities, such as setting up equipment and clearing the seating bowl
  • Physically assist, with compassion, infirm or disabled fans, including during emergency evacuations
  • Assisting local 1st Responder partners (Police, Fire, and Emergency Medical Services) on investigations or medical calls as requestedAdditional duties as assigned 
Qualifications/Characteristics:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must pass a Criminal Offender Record Information background check.
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced and frequently changing team environment
  • Availability to work most 2025 home games and special events, consisting mostly of untraditional hours such as weeknights, weekends, and in-season holidays
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an outgoing and service-oriented personality
  • Should work well under pressure, have the ability to multi-task, and possess strong organizational skills
  • Demonstrate a commitment to providing a high level of customer service and display in a high degree of professionalism
  • Physical ability to walk or stand for extended periods of time in variable weather and potentially long games, along with navigating through flat ground, ramps, and Ballpark steps
  • Experience (or ability to be trained) in using magnetometer wand and walk-through metal detector 
Preferred Skills:Bilingual, multilingual, and/or ASL CertifiedPrevious security, public safety, law enforcement, and/or military experienceCardiopulmonary Resuscitation and First Aid Certified.
