Worcester Technical High School, a blue ribbon technical vocational school is soliciting applications for the 2025-2026 school year. The successful applicant will be accountable for teaching students the Biotechnology Chapter 74 Career Vocational Technical Education (CVTE) state frameworks and curriculum disciplines under the direction of the Biotechnology Department Head at Worcester Technical High School.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: (to be included along with other responsibilities)
1.Responsible for the development and implementation of departmental curriculum objectives and competencies.
2.Responsible for the integration of the department's curriculum where appropriate.

4.Performance of other job-related duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. MA DESE Licensure in Biotechnology 9-14 (Chapter 74) or ability to obtain within 1 year
2. Bachelor’s degree or higher in/or related to the field of Biotechnology.
3. Three years of full-time working experience in Biotechnology
4. Evidence of mastery of a wide variety of vocational/technical teacher competencies and the understanding of instructional techniques.
5. Strong background in laboratory techniques
6. Evidence of recent teaching experience in Biotechnology or a related field.
7. Competent in computer applications
8. SEI Endorsement
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. OSHA Trainer
2. Understanding of Biotechnology manufacturing requirements
3. Demonstrated experience supporting students with special needs
4. Ability to speak Albanian, Arabic, Nepali, Portuguese, Spanish, Vietnamese, or an African Language
5. Experience teaching students who are English language learners
WORK YEAR: 184 days
SALARY: SALARY: Salary scale shown is based on the candidate holding a Bachelor's Degree. Potential to increase based on degree level
