Youth Program Facilitator

Job Summary
Are you interested in working with students in a youth program setting? Do you want to gain valuable expertise in the child care industry? We provide hands-on work experience along with additional professional development opportunities.

The WE Connect program operates before and after-school programs at 2 locations: Detroit, Michigan and Roseville, Michigan. We are seeking part-time employees to work with youth in our before and after school programs. Our staff will be responsible for interacting with students, helping with homework, and participating in, planning, and facilitating activities. Staff will be responsible for working at both locations on a rotation.

Our programs run Monday through Thursday for approximately 4.5 hours for students. The specific start time for staff is 6:00 am- 8:30 am for before school, and 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm for after school. We are hiring for both time slots. We are looking for staff whom are available Applicants must have afternoon availability to fit our program times. There are 12-15 hours a week available, with extra hours available for professional development.

Before and After School Student Program Instructor: No previous job experience needed to working with youth. Will engage in meaningful interactions with students and participate in activities, along with planning and facilitating activities. There are 12 hours a week available for this position at $17/hour. Enforce program policies and rules. With the support of the Education Coordinator, plan a variety of activities for students. Relaible transportation is a requirement. Must be able to successfully pass a background check.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 12 per week
