About the Company - ArCHitect therapeutics was recently founded to explore completely new, highly coveted chemical space for addressing challenging molecular targets (expand the “druggable universe”) using a combination of bleeding-edge C-H activation technologies (from Prof. Jin-Quan Yu laboratory) and activity-based-protein-profiling (from Prof. Ben Cravatt laboratory).
Job Description - We are looking for highly motivated and creative medicinal chemists to build our chemistry platform that will facilitate hit identification for novel molecular targets and rapidly translate our lead molecules from pre-clinical stage to exploratory testing in human patients.
Key Responsibilities Will Include :
- Develop our novel chemical libraries. Design, prioritize, and implement synthetic strategies to drive library synthesis internally and at CRO.
- Serve as chemistry team leader for hit-to-lead projects. Collaborate with in-house teams of biologist, computational chemists to drive synthetic and medicinal chemistry efforts to meet aggressive timelines.
- Participate in decision-making processes within project teams by actively engaging in scientific and technical discussions.
- Communicate project status, issues, results and timelines to various management and key stakeholders in an effective manner, both in writing and verbally.
- Promote a group culture of collaboration, inclusion, and innovation.
- The individual will lead from bench to develop synthetic route and prepare analogs for our novel chemical libraries.
