Work Now Staffing is looking to hire Machine Operators for our Romeoville client.
Pay : $20.13 per hour
Shift : 7 : 00am - 3 : 30pm (Monday - Friday)
Job Details :
Sets up and operates equipment in one of the following departments : RW80 Welders, RW80 Corrugators, Braiders, 460 Machine, RF67 equipment and Composite Bulk Machines. Other duties may be assigned.
- Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
- Sets stops or guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule, or template.
- Positions workpiece against stops or aligns layout marks with die or blade.
- Pushes button or depresses pedal to activate machine.
- Manage raw material as needed to keep equipment running.
- Stage finished goods to maintain an efficient product flow.
- Manage all appropriate paperwork to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Observes machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunction.
- Measures workpiece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation.
- Removes burrs, sharp edges from workpiece.
- Performs minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines, dies, or workpieces.
- Assists machine operators to set up machine, and stack, mark, pack, and transport finished work pieces.
- Spot welds workpieces as required.
- Actively participates in workplace organization on a daily basis.
- Sets up all subsidiary equipment as required.
- Trains other employees as needed.
